I was listening to this guy today. It still amazes me how good of a guitar player he was ...

loved his playing. SOB could play better blind than I ever could with all my senses. Now, he and SRV are playing together on that big stage in the sky. God bless them both, they left us way too early.

Awesome player, indeed. Shows if you're that determined to do something, you'll find a way. That was great to see them jam together.

I agree. He played better being blind than some with full site.

Back in the 1992, I was in Toronto and got to see The Jeff Healey Band live in the round at Ontario Place. The first half of the show they played 3 piece and then Paul Shaffer, who was in town recording their "Feel This" album with them joined them for the rest of the show. They were incredibly good and Jeff Healey was amazing the way he played and would jump around with the guitar on his legs. I am glad I got to see that show.

Jeff Healey had a nighclub in Toronto and every Tuesday they would have a jam night. I went there a couple times in the mid 00s and got to play with some great musicians. I was invited to come back on a Saturday to meet Jeff in person because he did a show there every week but I alteady had plans to go see a concert. I wish I could have gotten to go and meet him and possibly jam with Jeff. On another occasion, I was sent an invitation to see a jam session there with Jeff , Steve Lukather, Edgar Winter and others but I was not able to attend. I know from all the musicians I met at his club that Jeff was very much well loved and respected.
