Sneek Peek: KIND FOLK FOUNDATION

Post by Mysterytrain »

Kind Folk Foundation

Since our band has been formed we have been involved in many benefits. KFF is a fund that will allow us to donate money to future groups/individuals along with our musicial performances.

Once we get KFF up and running and gain the trust of our supporters by seeing our track record of where and how the money is being distributed hopefully it will open the doors for bigger more diverse events.

The following list will grow as we grow...

At this time...

KFF is in its infancy stage... call it our beta version.

KFF is formed and managed by Mysterytrain.

KFF raises money by musical performances only.

KFF supports cultural diversity, promotes the importance of art and music, eco-awareness and as well as general local community benefits.

KFF DOES NOT support political parties or candidates.

KFF sponsors general benefits quarterly at each change of season. The money raised will be used throughout that particular quarter.

KFF also sponsors benefits for individuals and groups throughout the year.

KFF sponsors the Kid's Activity Tent at Mysterytrain festivals.

KFF expenses are paid-in-full for each benefit by the KFF fund. ex. venues, porta-pots, garbage removal etc.

All details pertaining to money raised for each event, expenses, money distributed are posted at www.mysterytrainlive.net

Update

I'm sorry to say that the idea of the Kind Folk Foundation has died on the vine.

Too much legal non-profit bullshit.

We are always available though to help anyone out by performing, promoting and doing other leg work if someone throws together a benefit.

My idea in this project was to get it up and running and then do the legal stuff later but others felt differently.

Thank you to those of you to those who I've talk to already. I can still offer help in anything we've discussed.

Finally, we are still going to have a free Earth Day at Sinking Valley Fairgrounds on Saturday April 17th.

Be cool,
Dan
Keep on keepin' on,
Dan
