This crap has to stop

Post by BloodyFingers »

We the poeple need to put a end to this bullshit that these so called politicains are doing to us. They care for no one but themselvles. They just gave them selves another payraise and our country is suppoed to be broke. Trillions in debt and they suckup more money that they don't even need. We the people need to act on this. Lets kick some ass in DC...

An idea whose time has come

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of
Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire
with the same pay after only one term, that they didn't pay into Social
Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws
they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for
sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws.
The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is
being considered...in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem
logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't
care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The
self-serving must stop. This is a good way to do that. It is an idea
whose time has come.

The only way to do that is to remove their power base:

the general welfare clause

and

severely limit the interstate commerce clause

We need a constitutional amendment to rewrite Article I, Section 8 to permanently repair the holes that FDR tore in the Constitution through judicial extortion.

An amendment that removes monetary political contributions from the realm of free speech would be a nice addition as well.
...Oh, the freedom of the day that yielded to no rule or time...

+1 on that. Corporations are not people, they are collections of assets, and do not deserve the rights of people. If corporations ARE people, then when a corporation goes bankrupt, the people who ran it should all be bankrupt as well. Free speech is an INDIVIDUAL right.--->JMS
