I know this is not an easy music trivia question; so, here are the answers. You might be very surprised at who is on the list of charting the most single records on the U.K. charts. We know there are many music acts that do very well in Europe and around the world and their songs don't get released in the U.S.

Solo Artist

#1 - Elvis Presley (152 charting singles - 77 were Top 10)
#2 - Cliff Richard - Solo (101 charting singles - 69 were Top 10)

Pop Group
#1 - The Shadows (also known as Cliff Richard & The Shadows) - (69 charting singles)

Rock Band
#1 - Status Quo (68 charting singles - 23 were Top 10)

I was thinking it was the beatles or Elvis. I keep forgetting about Cliff Richard though ..

I thought the other interesting group was Status Quo. They only had two singles chart in the U.S. with Pictures Of Matchstick Men and Ice In The Sun, both back in 1968. Status Quo is still together and recording.
