Queensrÿche - American Soldier
I got this cd today. Has anyone listened to it yet? Geoff Tate's voice still sounds the same, it isn't a bad cd.

Such a BORING record.Ireally wish it was better given the concept. It was sort of a Tate solo thing with some studio dude/guitarist.Queensryche has truely lost it.There seems to be no hope of DeGarmo ever returning. They need to retire.Awful record.
Seriously Frank, you dislike Justice but think this turd is good?Hmmmm.Makes me wonder.

I never said that I like it. I just said that it wasn't that bad lol ..
I think a lot of what they been doing is trying to get the Operation Mindcrime back. I agree that they aren't the same without degarmo
also, I spent most of the night, last night, listening to ...and justice for all. I found a new respect for the cd. I don't hate it anymore, but in the same turn, I don't love it either ..

Been a huge fan since the early days before MindCrime. Also must admit they have lost it a bit. MindCrime was soooo huge for them and really put them into the mainstream as it was, but something lacking other than DeGarmo missing. Can't put my finger on it. Might have to go back and listen again.f.sciarrillo wrote:I was listening to operation mind crime today. I forgot how good that cd is ..
Take Hold the Flame one of their best songs from the early days.

The warning was a good cd as well .. I agree that take hold of the flame was a great song. That shows the real power of Tates voice. It is haunting the way he sounds on that ..joltinjeff wrote:Been a huge fan since the early days before MindCrime. Also must admit they have lost it a bit. I respect Mindcrime for what it is, but Empire's always been my favorite Ryche album. I also liked Hear in the Now Frontier, which was an album that a lot of older fans didn't dig as much.

Pour me another one, cause I'll never find the silver lining in this cloud.
