Its amazing how the lyrics to Enter Sandman would probably have worked for a Pat Boone hit in the 50s. In the final analysis, they are kinda naive kidstuff that would have worked in a naive era...

No, I am saying that popular song lyrics from that era were more G-rated and perhaps naive--kind of innocent & G-rated. The lyrics from Enter Sandman fit right into that era without any modern references.
