$10 Million for Murtha's Library in Johnstown

Could anyone in Cambria county think of any better uses for $10 million? Oh they are doing the same for Arlen Spinctor somewhere in Pa. The state does not have this money, so they are going to borrow it. Anyone feel outraged? Is this good financial management in this horrible recession?

Hmm... Yeah... And we wonder why we're over our heads in debt today... What would happen if these countries we're indebted to ever decide they're shutting down the debt pipeline and collecting? The Divided States of America?

Could someone please explain to me why we have to pay this much for a library? They didn't pay a tenth of that for our town library.

And yet Rendell cut state subsidies for public libraries across the state were cut more than 8 percent, from $68.2 million to $62.5 million.

What is he thinking? Plus, there are already 5 libraries within a 1/2 mile in Richland now including the East Hills public library, The Richland High School library, The University of Pittburgh at Johnstown Library, The Penn Highlands Community College library, and the Johnstown Career & Technology Center library.

Ed (Governator of Philadelphia) Rendell does not care how much he bankrupts Penna., just so long as he can raise his monument to the King of Pork, The Face of Corruption, John Murtha.

ED (Boss Hog) Rendell has announced that he is not running for reelection. That is the only thing I agree with him on ..

Ed Rendell has reached his term limit and cannot run for governator again.
While I have never been a fan of Rendell, I love the press release this week revealing the Murtha and Spector projects. LOVE IT!!! It was worth $20 million of MY tax money to give talk radio fans the finger! Totally worth it! They bawl-babied all week long on that one.
They did a multi-million-dollar deal on a new Revolutionary War center in Philly, too... I guess the right doesn't really own the Founding Fathers, do they? --->JMS

You do not pay $20 million in taxes idiot. Your far distant ancestors will still be paying for this.

I pay taxes the same as any wing-zombie. I have a say, too, and it holds exactly as much water as any Tea-poopy.
My far-distant ancestors lived in the past, idiot. They already paid their taxes.
Oh, incidentally, my far-distant progeny will be paying for the Iraq War YOU supported, too. Oops! You don't wanna hear THAT, do you?!!! --->JMS

Could you guys please, please take this thread way off topic?? Lord knows there hasn't been enough discussion on the Iraq war.
Pour me another one, cause I'll never find the silver lining in this cloud.

Do you? When one gets government welfare called the earned income tax refund (as you once posted here), one is not paying taxes.

One pays all the state taxes, doesn't one? One also gets an extra amount taken out of one's check every week, then one is sure one doesn't have to pay in at the end of the year.
Why do all the wing-nuts have to have such a huge pantload all the time? Brighten the f**k up... in November, the wingies will take over the world, and everything will be perfection from there on out.
