I remember (I think in the 1960s) Tony made a TV commercial about quitting cigarette smoking. It was a national IQ campaign and several celebs were doing commercials.

Tony looked at the camera and said, "I quit smoking, cigarettes that is".

After about a week or two, someone caught on and the commercial was taken off.

Back in the early 60s, Tony Curtis was such a high profile celebrity that he appeared on The Flinstones as Stoney Curtis. His real name was
Bernard Schwartz.

The man held his own acting with Lawrence Olivier, Marylin Monroe, Kirk Douglas and Cary Grant. He made me laugh in many movies. RIP Tony.
