Maybe
Maybe it is just a game and you really don't have to hurt people to play. Maybe you don't even have to hurt people to be good.
I hope he quits the NFL and goes to work at fucking walmart...
Maybe then he will kiss the ass's of the people who created a situation where a dumbass like him can make millions of dollars...
But really I have no opinion on this...

Why is this an issue? The players chose to play a dangerous sport. They know the risks. They were trained to "hurt" people. On of the hits that Harrison put on was not even a helmet to helmet. He chucked the guy with his arms. What about fireman and policeman that risk their lives every day for pennies, compared to these "football heroes" salaries. Do they say " I'm not risking my life for the kids on the second floor of that burning building"?
They just friggin' do it. They don't spike their helmets after a fire is put out, just to get some "air time", and then revel in their own greatness on the 11:00 news. They pack up their shit and get ready to fight on. They know the risks. And if they don't want the risks they can find another career. I agree with the H/H contact rule, but the rules need to be better defined. Also if you can't tackle a guy then allow tripping. 2 cents worth.

I was thinking the same thing. I also think that if it was some one who didn't play for the steelers, who we all know are the most disrespected and unliked team in the nfl; they wouldn't have done anything ..Jasaoke wrote:It might be a different story if the NFL didn't have their unwritten "It's OK to hold James Harrison" rule. Seriously, the opponents O-line is allowed to do whatever they want to him, but he can't lay a guy out?
