Is this the one that goes 0-6 in 3.9 seconds? I love how Lincoln and Cadillac are marketing towards a younger crowd instead of focusing on the older "big boat" buying rich elderly folk.

Yes it is. Pretty cool huh? I agree that they really changed them around over the years. They just keep getting better and better ..JayBird wrote:Is this the one that goes 0-6 in 3.9 seconds? Caddy = BMW = Lexus = Mercedes...

Big fuckin' deal. If a car goes from Point A to Point B in a safe manner, that's all that matters, not if you spent $600 or $60,000 on it. Best car I ever had cost me $200, and I ended up parting it out for around a grand after I put 80,000 miles on it.

Much of the safety and reliability innovations in modern automobiles are owed to their racing or performance counterparts, like this CTS-V.ToonaRockGuy wrote:Caddy = BMW = Lexus = Mercedes...

You may see a guy with some insecurities, but I see someone buying in on technologies that require a high initial investment when new, but gradually get cheaper as the market determines what is worth pursuing and what isn't.
Think about that the next time you tramp on the brakes to avoid a road hazard and they actually work.

Some people just like to get from A to B a little faster...ToonaRockGuy wrote:Caddy = BMW = Lexus = Mercedes...

I look at all that power and grip and think "safety and fun" not "small dick". Hopefully it will age like an M3 and 10-12 years from now you can pick up a great machine for $9-12K.

GM wised up and noticed that all the rich elderly folk were dying off and the future rich elderly folk were buying BMW's and Merc's.
I think I'd still rather have one of the new SHO's here in the lower north. Way cheaper to buy (could get two for one CTS-V), way cheaper to insure, AWD, and could still get all the band related stuff into it (especially if they end up making the 'rendered' wagon version).
