The way I see it is that he was protesting just to join in the protesting, then when he found out what it was really for, he figured that he did the wrong thing. What it comes down to is that he was protesting just to protest, which is something that happens a lot ..
I guess we will just have different opinions on things.

Sounds like you're saying the same thing to me.f.sciarrillo wrote:I guess we will just have different opinions on things.

"He's the electric horseman, you better back off!" - old sKool making a reference to the culturally relevant 1979 film.

It isn't the same thing, Paul. What she is saying is that he was protesting for something that he thought was right and shouldn't apologize. I am saying that he protested just to protest. Then when he realized what it was for he realized that isn't what he thinks and apologized for it.

I'm not sure, but I think the young Mr. Gilmour's expressions of shame and regret were in relation to his attempted desecration of the Cenotaph, a British war memorial. This doesn't necessarily mean that he is rescinding his support for the protest in general.
On a related note the bass player for my metal project, Black Sun, was "kettled" in the same protests and held for over 8 hours until released.

Just go ahead and admit it, your bass player is an anarchist.Gallowglass wrote:I'm not sure, but I think the young Mr. Gilmour's expressions of shame and regret were in relation to his attempted desecration of the Cenotaph, a British war memorial.
