One of the most underrated musicians and singers in music. Such a shame he didn't get more recognition than he got.

I liked his hits, both in Stealers Wheel and as a solo artist. "Stuck In the Middle With You" was one of the first 45 rpm singles I ever bought as a kid. I also bought Stealers Wheel's attempted follow-up single, "Everyone's Agreed That Everything's Gonna Work Out Fine." "Star" was a good song as well.

I also liked "Baker Street," and the subsequent singles, "Home and Dry" and Right Down the Line." Good stuff.

As Jim Price mentioned, Gerry Rafferty had a string of great hit songs. here is good one from 1979 that made it #21 on the charts.
