Polamalu might have been one step short with his tackle of Jennings the first time, but he was a few steps behind the second time...lol.

And their number 2 receiver (Donald Driver), and Woodson's backup for some time (Sam Shields), and their Safety for some time (Nick Collins)

Did any of you see where Dallas gave Michael Vick the key to the city of Dallas?

Sorry man, Im from MD. Ive only been in PA for 5 years. Im not denying any home team. ;) Im not even really a sportsfan. I had no expectations for this season or any other season.

I am moving, but it has nothing to do with not being loyal to the steelers.

The Steelers are blaming each of themselves for what happen. Not one person on the team is saying that it another players fault. That is class, and shows how much they like each other.

There is next season, depending on whether there is a lock out or not, so we will see what happens. The thing that can't get past my mind is how bad they did the season after their last Super Bowl. They didn't even make it to the playoffs that year.

Oh, and I been looking for an NFC team to root for, so I can balance it out. I do the same thing with Baseball and Hockey. I am thinking that it will be Green Bay. No it isn't a bandwagon thing, I just think they played a great game on Sunday. And I would compare them to the Steelers in regards of playing hard.

Sports fans are interesting from a social psychology perspective.

had mendenhall not fumbled we would have won. actualy he didn't fumble the ball was knocked lose from a very rare simultaneous hit from 2 angles.

we had the game in the bag till that point. i recall arroon was like 4 times up and 4 down never making a first down. GB should feel very lucky they were even in that game. in first place

The Steelers beat themselves, Plain and Simple. Not 1 person on that team is to blame for the loss. I personally hate the Steelers but agree that they do have a championship caliber team. They have great players, coaching staff, and owners. The Packers may not of played "great" but they did what was needed to win and I stand by my comment that Aaron Rodgers is one of the best QBs in the NFL! Im a 49ers fan and I take slack for it constantly! Im sure you Steelers fans can take some yourselves!

what was needed? that's like pointing to the latest lottery winner saying see they did what was needed to be successful in life.

the steelers lost the game, the packers simply showed up.

it's funny to me that every Steeler fan contended that Seahawk fans were pathetic and clueless when they made the EXACT same remarks about their loss to Pittsburgh in their Super Bowl.

hello pot; it's me, kettle.

well its too bad we don't have a head coach or offensive coordinator that knows what plays to call and not to call at crucial times. not to mention the total lack of imagination on offense. where are the throws to the backs out of the back field where are the screens the reverses . where were the tight ends and designed roll outs with one of the most mobile quarterbacks ever to play the game. all nice safe ways to move the ball down the field . our coach and offensive coach choked and went brain dead just as they did last year when we lost to Cleveland, Oakland and Kansas city. if not for our defensive coach we would never be close to playing in the superbowl. even against the jets and Baltimore it was our defense that won those games the offense almost gave away both of those games. its not we don't have the talent on offense we just don't know when and how to use it. You guys are right mistake are huge but we put ourselves in a position to make those mistakes by calling certain plays at certain times not punting when we should have instead of a 55 yard field goal . pump fake and long developing pass inside our own 15 forcing a pass to a wide out in the middle of the teeth of the packer defense etc etc etc . the packers are good but all their coaches are good and smart ours aren't . that's the difference thats why the trophy is named after a coach . ours was handed a superbowl team and has squandered it

You know,... Everyone always says "If X player would've made this play" or "If Y player wouldn't've done that". As the scenarios change, you change the way you play. One little change in the dynamics means another changes entirely. Need an example?

Scenario:

2nd and 7, from the 40>. The defense lines up, showing full blitz. Your quarterback drops back

If the defense gets the sack, looking at 3rd and 11, your QB is probably going to shotgun with 3WRs

If they miss the sack and the pass is completed, at short yardage of 3rd and 2, you're probably going to give the ball to your RB. Let's continue, shall we?

3rd and 11: The defense sets up a zone. Your QB sets back to the gun, and draws the offense offsides. He then unloads a great pass down field

If his receiver catches the ball, he's brought down at the 7

If he misses, the QB is looking at 3rd and 6. On the repeat, he hurls a more accurate pass, and the receiver beats the defense for a touch down

3rd and 2: The defense preps a blitz again. Your QB takes a snap from I formation, hands the ball to the top running back. A linebacker comes through.

If the linebacker hits the RB, he drills the RB back 2 yards

If the RB shakes him, he runs up the field for 1st at the 25

Now imagine what would happen in the different situations after that. Believe me, the dynamics change play by play

With all this said, imagine how much greater the game changes when a team scores now vs. 3 clock minutes later. My father always says "If whomever would've made whatever play, they would've won". No, because as soon as the situation gives potential changes, you're automatically looking at a different scenario

Oh, and that reminds me...

I wouldn't be loyal to PA anyway. I only live here, and am by no means a Cheesehead. I was born and raised in Baltimore, and became an immediate Ravens fan upon their creation (although I'm also notably a 9er's and Cowboys fan), continuing to be so after moving up here, and I will continue to be. Don't assume, you ass

The team that makes the plays wins. It wasn't a blowout, but the Packers deserved to win. Aaron Rodgers played a great game. His throws were so quick that even when the Steelers defenders got a finger on the pass (Ike on the 3rd and 10 in the 4th quarter and maybe Clark on the TD down the middle) the ball didn't change direction enough to stop the completion. I think some of the drops that the GB receivers had were from getting the ball faster than they thought it would have been there.

By the way, I didn't see the halftime show on TV, but it must have been better in person, since I was surprised by the extreme negativity when I got back to the hotel. Slash's appearance was unexpected and the visual display from the stands was grand. You can't beat live music - even if it's not what you'd normally listen to.
