does marijuana smell way stronger than evr

hey guys as you know i'm kind of new on the block. I am innocent int he ways of the world. however I am old and grew up in the 60's and I have been around marijuana because ive always been around you crazy musicians. Ive only ever gotten close enough to smell the stuff . is it my imagaination or does pot smell 100 times stronger than it ever did. and i notice this mainly in the last year or year and a half. what's up my imagiantion or what.

todays pot is much more potent that from bygone days. There have been some tremendous strides made in breeding science. Of course, I can only assume that greater potentcy (higher THC content) would mean stronger aroma.

Or it could be your imagination.

Skunk weed will smell like skunk weed. In the 70's, Colombian gold, Maumi Wowie and real Jamaican ganja had quite the smell and potency. Those are not around much, so there is not much for comparisons.

You're right Joe but I still have a joint of "Gold Colombian" that I rolled back in 1974 so I know where there's at least one joint around.

I'm thinking about putting it on ebay.

Would it still be good? I mean as a product, obviously it'd be good as poetic justice, a "blast" from the past, but would it still pack a buzz?

Incidentally, for the youngsters, Columbian Gold was higher-grade than the average stuff, and costed more. It was an unbelievable $35 per ounce when I was in high-school, and a nickel bag cost $5, which is why they called it a nickel bag. We didn't get much Mexican schwag where I lived, it was mostly homegrown for us. Now the homegrown is considered the good stuff, and Columbia has moved on to coke and heroin. The world just keeps on turnin'...

If you put it on ebay, and they let you sell it, I see some extremely wealthy 59 yr old CEO will buy it, saying, hey that what we smoked before we went to the Montrose-Ten Years After concert that rocked.

no come on andy you know its not my imagination. we had everything from mexican. preuvian red, gold columbian, hawiaan gold vietnam weed [ the best ever]and more but believe me and iv'e been around it since 1969 it never smelled like it does today .
