Some Basses for Sale

Post by bassist_25 »

I never play these basses anymore, so they would be better served in hands that will use them.

First, a Dean Edge 10x. This thing is really cool. It's a dual-course 10 string bass. It works on the same principle as a 12 string guitar with each set of strings tuned an octave apart (but you can tune the strings to 3rds, 5ths, or whatever interval suits your fancy for some cool and original stuff). You should be able to put together a set of strings for this on Juststrings.com. Also, I believe S.I.T. will hook you up with a set of strings if you contact them. Rock your Cheap Trick covers in style or write some cool, original music.

-Two Band EQ, passive pickups
-Oil Finish
-Strings are about middle-age in their life
-Excellent shape: I'd give it a 9.9
-Comes with hardshell case
-Original owner lost the truss-road cover, but the headstock is painted black and it's not noticable if you don't want to replace it
-Black straplocks already installed

$300

Next, a Squire Jazz five-string. Don't let the Squire name fool you. This is a new generation Squire and is a pro, giggable bass, through and through.

-Pretty much mint except a small chip on the headstock
-Standard string spacing, so if you like wide spacing, this bass is for you
-Three band EQ, passive pickups
-Sorry, this one doesn't come with a case
-Very modern, fat Jazz Bass tone, would be great for modern rock, urban gospel, and modern country
-Could probably use a setup and new set of strings

$180

Please don't PM me telling me that you can buy a brand new Squire Jazz for $230. That's the standard, passive model. This is the higher-end, active model.

Thanks for looking! 8)

The Squier is nice but I play suburban gospel. :D
