Aiming for local bhajan sangha (unlikely obviously).
Just performing Deity-name centered tunes from different spiritual traditions with whatever backing instruments members can play.
Drum & Chant with drone is sufficient.
But open to various musical styles, from old-school kirtan & qawwali to far-out world fusion.
Also open to playing / adapting well-known to lesser-known songs as well as composing original chants.
Not for money, just for love.
No talent needed, just devotion/bhakti.
Can be super minimal & vocal oriented à la Bhagavan Das, to heavy trance loop based à la SWANS, to creative fusion-bhajan mode à la Nina Hagen & Shanti People.
Compositions & performance could range from ultimate lowfi à la Daniel Johnston to supreme craftwork à la Nick Cave.
Not a control freak, but I can arrange adequately as well as play whatever instrumentation is lacking.
Members can decide where the music goes, if any other bhaktas in the region are to be found and wish to collaborate.
