Fave solos/leads... I could go all day! I'll just list a few random songs with really awesome solos, amongst my favorites...

Pantera - Cemetary Gates
Sonata Arctica - Letter To Dana
Nightwish - Forever Yours (REEAALLY simple, yet so passionate flute solo!)
Deep Purple - Don't Fear The Reaper
Type O Negative - Love You To Death (again, simple and easy, but fluid with feel!)
Angra - Heroes Of Sand (although that entire song is just awesome)
Epica - Chasing The Dragon
Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath

I laugh every time I see that .. Those facial expressions he makes are hilarious. Of course, tuning the violin while he is playing is the best part ...

The first guitar solo to come to my mind is Slash on "Sweet Child Of Mine". I never get tired of hearing it.

Maggot Brain - Funkadelic
Close second would be The Messiah Will Come Again by Gary Moore but the original by Roy Buchanan is great too.

Perfect solo,perfect song,perfect album.
Do you know if this guy played on the Fairport Convention song "Who Knows Where the Time Goes" because I think the guitar part in that is tastefully understatedly beautiful. I know he was in that band a million years ago.

A few from a drummer:

-Eric Johnson - "Cliffs Of Dover"
-Ozzy Osbourne - The entire "No Rest For The Wicked" album, his first with Zakk. Holy Fuck.
-Joe Satriani - "Summer Song", "Satch Boogie"
-Duane Allman/Dickey Betts - "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed" (Allman Bros)
-SRV - "You Better Leave My Little Girl Alone"
-Zakk Wylde - "House Of Doom" (BLS)
-Snake Sabo/Scotti Hill - The entire "Slave To The Grind" album by Skid Row. One of the most underrated guitar duos ever. These dudes are really good.
Dood...

Fav Van Halen solo has got to be Eddie's live version of Year to the Day from Van Halen 3:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17ILc0ZOv40
(About 4:15-6:50)

Tone is amazing and he is the master of getting his guitar to scream while still keeping perfect control! He always seems to be just on the verge of being sloppy, but then pulls something off like a guitar surgeon.

Hot Razors in My Heart. By Crack the Sky. Guitar solo by Rick Witkowski. Personal fave.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, Slave to the Grind has the best guitar tone ever recorded. Skid Row is one of my favorite bands of all time.

After all of these years, my favorite solo is still Petrucci's from Dream Theater's Under a Glass Moon. The small bass fill by Myung before the solo just makes it sound all that more powerful.

Other than that, I probably have hundreds of favorite guitar solos from all kinds of players.

Another Petrucci lick, this time it's a little jam he did at the end of his Rock Discipline DVD:
