ToonaRockGuy had great point about drummers. Playing a kit is as much athletic as it is musical, so it's tough to dress for. I saw Helmet some years ago, and they wore sleeveless jerseys and shorts (like an NBA team). Doesn't really fit the music IMO, but ventilates and allows movement.

Shirtless with black basketball shorts....for the very reason you just said. Playing drums under the lights is an absolutely sweaty athletic workout. I dress for comfort, not for style. But in the heavy metal genre the 'bum' look is kinda what you're shootin' for anyway. :D
