Post by bsaller »

As I was doing some chores around the house and my wife and mother-in-law are slaving away in the kitchen, the tought occurred to me how blessed my life really is!
Sooo....I would like to wish everyone on Rockpage a Happy Thanksgiving!
A specials thanks to the members of The British Invasion and Ricky Lee and The Mustangs for being my friends and putting up with me!!!
I truly cherish your friendship!! :D
I'm not much of a mush mouth, so enough already!

Right back atcha, Bsallers!
Despite being a godless heathen ( :) ), I'm thankful for my family, the place I live, the places I work, and the people I work with and for. I'm thankful for the magic I find in music and other art, and my ability to create some of that, however small that ability may be. I'm thankful for lifelong friendships, and the blessings those friends provide me. Have a good Thanksgiving, everyone.------>JMS

I'd like to thank the NFL for the two worst games I watched all year.

Who played today?
I made my infamous "great escape" right after dinner and retreated home to my guitars, so I didnt catch any of it.

First, I'm thankful to be alive because I shouldn't be quite frankly.

Related to my first comment, I'm extremely thankful that the 1994 Dodge Shadow was such a well-built little car. It takes a beating, that's for sure.

Above all, I am thankful for all of the friends that I have in my life. The best part is I've learned over the past several months that I have way more friends than I was aware of; several very special people that I honestly did not expect have come to the forefront when I've needed friends most and I am truly blessed. There are a lot of people in my life that I don't deserve but I'm working very hard to become more worthy of them and their caring.

Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.

Good way to put it. Last night's game made up for it a bit.

I'm thankful for my roommate not tossing me out on my ass!

Now that that's out of the way, on a more sincere note,... I really do have a lot to be thankful for right now. On the average day, I may not act like it, but I do. And I know I do. Tough days make it harder to see sometimes, but really, I KNOW I've got things going

What I AM thankful for... I've got a lot of decent friends. I've got 2 awesome roommates. I've got some family that would SLAUGHTER for me if needbe. I've got a job that pays more than minimum wage. I've got a job that gives me enough time to live outside of work, and yet I get enough time in to pay off everything. I've got a job at all, for that matter! I've been given chances and choices in music to find out so many great songs and bands to not even have to choose a favorite over it all. I've got a couple decent comps to occupy my time. I've got a lot of instruments to push my emotions through as I see fit (which reminds me... I need to see fit more often lately...). I've got my personal space. I'm still at least RELATIVELY healthy. I can stand, walk, run, lift, pull, see, hear, touch, taste, feel,... I'm thankful for being me and having what I have :)

lol....stop inviting people to live on my couch and I won't throw you out...nah, just kidding. But I thought this was a great post...sometimes you take for granted the simple abilities like being able to walk, being able to see....having a roof over your head.
As much as I hate it, I'm thankful that I found a house, that I have not yet gotten into bad enough financial straits to lose the house, and thankful that I have two people to help split expenses with so that I can remain in the house and still have a roof over my head no matter how much I hate it, or how much of the flooring is coming up...or how much of the roofing blows off....anyway...
I"m thankful for friends still putting up with me after all these years, and for the man that loves me and wants to marry me for whatever reason...I can't figure out why exactly, but I'm glad they do. I'm thankful that I've been lucky enough in my life to not be homeless, to not be starving, to not be born in Africa or the Middle East, and to have an okay life when all things are said and done.
Worth dying for. Worth killing for. Worth going to hell for. Amen.
