Upturn: Oil went down to 40.00 a barrel today. Gas it said to be going to less than a dollar. I haven't seen it that low since I was in high school. Man that was a long time.
Downturn: The unemployment rate is at it's highest in 34 years. Over 500 thousand people were laid off last month.
Oil is at it's four year low !! Good Upturn - Downturn?

High oil was the straw that broke the camel's back. I would like to say that I hope this teaches OPEC a lesson, but I'll just think it out loud.
Unemployment is going to get even worse I think. I know i've been pocketing much more money lately, rather than spend it. Same with many of my acquaintances that I talk money with. After the bathroom remodel over christmas/new years I don't plan on spending any 'real' money for quite some time.
