Top Grossing Concert Tours of 2008

Post by moxham123 »

Here are the top grossing concert tours for 2008 in concert ticket sales revenue. I wonder how much the bands made out of this. Notice that most of them were older acts.

This made me think of that one fag from Metallica saying "Yeah, we sold-out, sold out every seat at every show or some equally gay shit".

Fuck I hate that band. Some part of me wishes they all died in a fiery crash after "Kill'em All". They would be Gods in my eyes right now.

You'll go to Hell for wishing death on people. I wish Bono would die!

There the best band ever period. Although they did get slower, what do u except there in their 40's. They cover any style of music, but i will agree it does seem like they can be quite the pricks if you watch some interviews. James and Lars that is, i thought kirk was gay til i saw he was married

Metallica the best band ever? LOL! Suuure - They don't hold a candle to Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Cream, SRV, The Beatles, Rush, Ect. I can number a 100 bands that are better than Metallica. They are far from being the best band ever.

Oh, Hammet is gay. Him being married is a front lol ... And it was Jason Newstead who said about selling out every show. I think it was the making of the black album or some kind of monster. Either way, he is as pathetic as the rest of the band ...

+1

The Spice Girls TOURED??? I thought they were over 10 years ago. (Or how ever long ago it was their 15 minutes were done. ) As for Bon Jovi, I do think Sambora is an excellent Guitar player and while I admire the charitable work Jon is involved in (saw that on 60 Minutes), I know and like MANY of their Tunes (if I hear them, any way :) ) and have a few friends who are absolutely gaga over them, I have not been able to get very interested in that Band.

and these are things i've noticed. everyone knows the words to wanted dead or alive. like it or not, the top grossing tour is probably one of the most liked/hated bands ever. i know people that abhor bon jovi... but i know alot more people that love them. it is interesting to see celine dion still has "it".

and i think the "it" in this case is herpes... or gonorrhea...

Trans-Siberian Orchestra achieved their numbers by having two complete groups touring at the same time with each playing separate shows in different cities on the the same dates. They also did mutiple shows in the same cities on the same date and all within a two month period during the last couple months of the year. They cover a lot of venues by having two groups touring.

What's really sad, is that those bands only see a marginal percentage of that money when it's all over.
Some good reading though.
