The Grammy Awards are on TV this Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 8:00 on CBS.

Here is a list of the nominations. Once again, you have to ask, what is up with this list?

Kenny and Taylor are both great pop acts. They just need to get them the f**k off "country" radio, and play some actual country music. There's plenty of good country out there, but the artists aren't fashion-models, so it won't sell to little girls and old women.

Agreed with the grammys sucking, also with the appointments.... But the grammys have always sucked. Umm, maybe the appointments have always sucked too...

Can we appoint anyone who is legit and on the up and up? Might be hard to find from either "Party"....

Her looks? LOL! Are you serious? This is music we're talking about, right? What bloody difference does someone's looks make? Young kids might idolize people like that for their looks, but they're kids. What do they know about good music? The Grammy's is nothing more than a popularity contest, and as people like Spears and "J Lo" have proven, you can crank out shitty music and still be popular.

i think everyone that knows anything knows the grammy's don't really matter. i mean, who hasn't made fun of the grammy's.

my bitch is, i think everyone knows it's a popularity contest, so why are you guys bitching? the only people that don't know the grammy's are rigged thinks the onion is a real news network.

that being said... i think since the populace knows it's a bunch of malarky, they should just take it off the air.

In theory, it's supposed to be by ballot, your peers vote for you. I have my doubts, though. Plus, how the hell is Lil Wayne going to reliably vote in the blues category? The only black people who know anything about blues are the ones playing blues. Hip-hop is pretty much the opposite of blues... in hippity-hop, you push a button on a several-thousand-dollar groove station, and a groove comes out. In blues, you pour your heart into a $100 guitar, devote your life to it, walk the walk, and a groove comes out. It's apples voting for oranges. Like I trust Kanye to tell me what's good.--->JMS
