Does the PA treasury have any of your money?

Post by Ron »

Some of you may have seen the TV commercial, but if you haven't checked, go to PA Treasury Unclaimed Property website and do a search.

http://www.patreasury.org/search.htm

A friend of mine did this search and saw my name listed under 2 items. Last August I sent in the notarized claim and I got a check today... for over $2K. They were dividends from a life insurance policy I had canceled several years ago. Needless to say, there was a clean up on aisle 3 when I opened the envelope.
... and then the wheel fell off.

I have ten bucks coming from The Valley Rural Electric Coop from 1986! I'm afraid to claim it because I think I have an outstanding balance with them.  --->JMS
