Favorite venues to play at

What are some of your favorite venues to play at? I had a great time playing at the Altoona Railroaders Museum last summer and the End of Summer jams in Cresson were cool.

Back in the dazed, I loved playing the D's and Pelly's, but I have passed those venues down to my son. I am too ancient to grace their stages. Also liked playing the Coaches Inn (now 30 Something). And it is sweet playing 30 Something. Claudio is cool, the staff is awesome, and we have the good fortune of being sounded by Zilly.

Also, I love the vibe at Thunder in the Valley. The Seven Points Amphitheater at Raystown is very cool. Man I've liked most places I've played for the past few years. The Castle Pub staff and crowd is awesome as well.

Probably Aldo's, but yeah man I just love playing. I'll play a party in your basement. Sometimes those are the best.

The Battle of the Bands at The Railroad Museum was great. The Blues Fest at The Spyglass Winery is the BEST party of the year. (this will be our 3rd)
Thunder in the Valley was really cool - I hope we get to do it again - I want to ride my bike to the gig this time!
Tony's Big Easy in State College always treats us well. It's too bad the LCB and other clubs give him so much grief. State College is very tough - BluesMoon does it's best, but alas we don't belong to the "clique" so we can't rely on friends to give us gigs. We have to fight for them.
I just wish The Peppermint hadn't burned down - I think it would have been amazing!

Smoked Country Jam near Lock Haven. They're tremendously nice people in a beautiful place with top entertainment. Play a few festivals, and you'll hate going back to the bars.
I used to love playing The William Penn Inn and Hill Valley Hotel, the people of Huntingdon County always provide for an entertaining evening when viewed from the stage. Old Sab's was just TOO much fun, I had some of the best times of my life there.
The best ever was probably in the courtyard of a swank hotel in Savannah GA a few years ago. It was still cold here, but there, it was 75 degrees and sunny. I was sitting in with Ricky Lee and we played the PGA event there. It was one of those perfect evenings, the gig was awesome, there were fireworks going off, there was Spanish moss hanging from the trees, I had just finished a gourmet meal, the moon... I kept wondering if I was having some sort of trick being played on me, it was so perfect.--->JMS

Smiling Moose- Because it's the Moose

Kopi Squat in Berlin- Huge stage, huge sound and a great staff. Any place that puts a case of beer on stage for you right as you go on is fantastic.

Metropol- Huge stage and huge sound

I have played so many places over the years that it's hard to put down my favorite.
These were just off the top of my head

Played Mr. Small's Theater in Pittsburgh once...that stays at the top slot forever. Just knowing the musicians that have played there....

Currently, my favorite place is the Osceola Hotel. Great people...when they like you, they LIKE you and they show it. Their enthusiasm is awesome.

1. 30 Something/City Limits/New Sabs. So many memories, so many more that I can't remember cause I was too drunk...

2. Peter C's. Gave many a band a chance, and was the coolest place to hang out. Also within crawling distance for me to get home.

3. The Shade Mountain Inn, Middleburg. If you have a good band, you will be the KING there.
Dood...
