Support 30 year olds who live with their parents and wear tribal dragon shirts: Buy at Guitar Center

Is it really that hard to find an independent music shop?

It's bad when Best Buy is carrying more pro-level equipment than an actual music store.

I noticed that they have all the top lines. Parker, Fender, etc ... The prices are a little high. I am wondering how it will go over myself.

That's only the Korean (or is it Chinese?) Alchemist line.

Wait 'til they find out that no matter what you carry, musicians want something else. And that musicians expect you to fix the stuff you sell.
I made a trip to G-Ctr while I was in Ft Myers, FL a month ago... it was exactly the same as the only other GC I've ever been in (Vegas)... $3500 guitars on the wall... dinged and scratched and abused with year-old strings. I played a Martin HD-35, a Gibson J-45 (my dream acoustic), and a Taylor 714CE... all of which sounded like ass. I also played an Epiphone EJ-200 (blonde J-200 copy, $400) that blew them all away simply because the strings were new.
You don't have to buy from me, but you should buy instruments from musicians who care about them, and play them.--->JMS

Charltor's a thinkin' man...good angle!!

I can't possibly imagine buying anything musical from Best Buy. It's bad enough half the time the dimbulbs at GC have no clue what you're talking about.
