Nothing like striking out...

Post by CMOR »

I just need to vent a little, so here is how a vacation from work starts.

I have the weekend off from running sound (thanks Matty) and plan on taking advantage of it.

Strike 1: Drive around effing Blue Knob looking for a friend's spot of land for over an hour to no avail of finding them. I think they didn't even go up.

Strike 2: Want to see book-to-movie translation of Angels & Demons at the drive-in. Hey, I'm already at Blue Knob, Portage is just over the hill. Wasted time in the woods is quickly forgotten. Projector breaks 5 seconds into the movie and can't be fixed until tomorrow. At least I got my money back.

Strike 3: Car starts making noise and riding funny on the way home. I'm no mechanic (wish I was) but I do know what a blown suspension looks like. The coil is not supposed to be resting on the wheel. Left the car in my work parking lot to repair or torch tomorrow (anyone good at auto repair and not doing anything Sunday?).

That's 3 strikes, I'm out. My b-day is this coming Fri, I wonder if anyone got me a car with a big red bow on it like the commercials.

Thanks for reading, I'm done now.

Steve

Steve, I'm sorry about the car problem. Vehicle woes are the worst.
