HELP

Probably about 20 years ago, there was a movie about taking the modern Air Force back to WWII. It might have been Pearl Harbor, specifically. Anybody remember the name of it?

Did the title have the word Philadelphia in it? I kind of remember that movie, a modern day aircraft carrier somehow was involved, I think.

I found it, I think. It's called "The Final Countdown". Thanks for the help, though. Wasn't there a song of the same title?

That's it. I was thinking, Asia. What if members of Europe and Asia started a band. Would they call it Eurasia? How about Fuel and Filter, Styx and The Stones, Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult, Big Star and Buzzcocks, Korn and Hole?

The philadelphia experiment was a "real thing"...also called project rainbow, i did a report for that in high school...they "time traveled" a navy ship using some of einsteins theorys from one harbor to another and then back in a matter of minutes...there were supposedly men fused to the deck and shit...the rest were said to be very traumatised...guess another thing to add to the conspiracy theory archives

Another theory is that it tried to do a Nickoli Tesla experiment and demagnitize the ship to protect it against mine fields. All kinds of weird things were supposedly reported or then labeled classified.

Yeah, you'd think if they time-travelled in WWII, they'd be using it now extensively. Think of the practical uses for electronically travelling through time and space. Trains, planes and automobiles would be completely unnecessary, you just zap people and cargo somewhere and sometime. You could have dodo eggs for breakfast, and T Rex-burgers for lunch. Hell, you could eliminate WWII altogether by spraying Hitler's daddy with a garden hose right before he inseminated Mrs. Hitler. 50 million people get to keep living as a result.
The physics part of it alone is a barrier... many of the theories re: time travel have only recently been formulated, let alone proven.
There's too many undeniable obstacles in the way of current time travel, much less travel in an era before super-computers, networking, or digital anything. For now, actual time travel is nothing more than a very cool premise for sci-fi writers and conspiracy-theorists.--->JMS

How about the James Gang and the Outlaws? The Who and Them (Van Morrison's first band)? Byrds, Black Crows, Eagles and Altoona's own Hawks?

Every time I'm watching documentaries about WWII, I get a little fantasy going about leading a squadron of Raptors or Lightnings. The Zeros wouldn't know what hit them. I'd also like to go back to the mid 50's. Preferably Milwaukee. First stop...the local Chevy Dealer.

How about taking KISS back to the late 50's. Nobody has seen or heard them yet and then the show starts. BOOM!!! Do yo think people would just stand there with their jaw on their chest or would they run for their lives?

Yes, I saw it at the then Civic Arena. They traded spots every other night. The night I went Sab started the show followed by Cult. Absolutely one of the best shows I ever saw. It was Sabbath's Mob Rules and Cult's Cultosaurus Erectus tour. It was before the reserved seating thing started and I bullied my way to the front row.

HELP

When Stryper first came out someone said that they and Motley Crue were doing a tour together calling it "Heaven and Hell" Tour. Could you imagine Michael Sweet standing out on stage talking about getting to Heaven and Vince and boys comin out and talkin about getting head, drunk, laid and bein stoned while doin it. :P
