I played My Sharona when it just came out. Then years later, saw my son play it in a band.

I just got the new Bruce Kulick CD. He sings on one of the songs and does a great job. Rock and Roll will never die but rock and rollers do....
You can put kittens in the oven, but that don't make 'em biscuits.

Always makes me think of Cheech singing "My Scrotum."
"Death has come to your little town."

Yep. We played it last night and the dance floor got packed and everybody sang along. Hard song to play bass and sing lead (split brain thing) but fun to play for sure.

Aw, that sucks. I always loved The Knack. I remember having their first two albums when I was a kid. "My Sharona" is a challenging song to play but fun. Those guys were all outstanding musicians. Doug cemented his legacy with that song. You hear it all the time on classic rock/oldies stations. It's hard to believe that it's an "oldie" now. Oh well. R.I.P. Doug.
I've drank enough beer to float a battleship! Go ahead and Rock & Roll all night if you can but don't party every day!

Me too, but you beat me to it.

RIP--it seems like half these guys don't reach 60.

While The Knack had some other hit songs, My Sharona was an enormously popular song and was the #1 of record of the year for 1979.
