ILike Local Concerts App

I downloaded the free ILike Local Concerts App for my IPhone and after seeing how cool this app is, I went to the web site and found that you can set up an account as either an artist or venue (venue cost $99.00 per year, artist is free). You can input you show schedules and it will populate the ILike Local Concert app when searching for a given area.

I input the benefit for this Friday at 30 Something and if you do a search in the app for ALL artists in the Altoona area it shows up for The Hawks Blues Band . I have found it takes a day or two for the ILike database to update but all in all pretty cool. It also looks as if there are links to Facebook, My Space and other sites along with other tools that will allow both the artist and venue to get more visibility.

In parallel to the thread about how to get more exposure even if you do not own an IPhone, I would recommend opening an ILike account and using this as an additional tool to get you band additional exposure, good for venues also.

As I have been reluctant to succumb to the whole My Space, Facebook thing I will need to see how all of the links work and how everything interfaces. Also it looks as if you can have multiple admins for each account so that several people can keep the band/venue's information current.

I see that the Eldolyn Terrace is already using this app/site as a venue.
