Altoona area math teacher and band leader Richard "Kim" Sherry died unexpectedly while on vacation. He was 63. Here is the Altoona Mirror's story about him:

I never met him or saw his groups, but I remember hearing about the Kim Sherry Orchestra when they were playing at various events during the '70s.
