BATTLE OF THE BANDS!!

Post by medic4131 »

I am looking to have a "battle of the bands" this summer, probably middle or late july, for the Williamsburg fire dept. fund raiser, I am looking for local bands that would be interseted in particapating in this compitition. If you could contact me via cell @ 814-889-5431 or email address as posted, and let me know. Where looking for each band to play for about one hour and leave the crowd decide who the winner is. Not sure what the grand prize ( will be cash!) is going to be yet, so any bands out there looking to get noticed contact me and let me know if your band is interested thanks....Rob Craig.

I talked to this guy. He is new to this task and is looking for a project for a benefit. He is offering a cash prize. Give him a call.

I gotta say...

If you really thought your band was decent, you'd be ready to battle...

C'mon, what's a little friendly competition between musicians..?

Half the time it seems like Rockpage IS a battle of the bands, just without the music...

Personally, I have tremendous confidence in the lineup of my group and the execution of our material (which is in itself an impressive body of work). I have no reservations whatsoever about putting it on any stage, at any time, for any audience...

Bok-bok-b'gok!

and Yes, I am kinda pickin a fight.

This is a really nice guy, trying to make some cash for a volunteer company. That's a very worthy cause. If you don't believe in a "battle of the bands" at least offer him some advice on how to help the worthy cause.

The 1st thing you need to do is nail down a date and a venue. Bands with dates on their schedules cannot commit to "somewhere, sometime in July".

Also, you need to confirm the date with every band you want. I had a benefit where I offered to play and they never got back to me. Meanwhile, I booked a gig on that date and the next thing you know, the benefit has us on their promo poster. Sorry, we are BOOKED! Gotta confirm it guys!
...Oh, the freedom of the day that yielded to no rule or time...
