Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the May 28 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock (www.q94classicrock.com), and from 10 PM to midnight on 107.1 and 101.3 Jack FM (www.1071jack.fm)!

We kept with our Memorial Day tradition this week and presented the annual "Homegrown Rocker" Memorial Day Special! We again took our annual trek down Local Music Memory Lane, and spotlighted past bands and artists of the area music scene! We celebrated past area music scene favorites, and blew the dust off a few songs that hadn't been played on the area radio airwaves for years (if ever). And with the recent passing of longtime Altoona area musician John Alamprese ("Johnny Al"), we played a song from his 1991 album with Kevin Bruce and the L.A. ("Little Altoona") Street Band, For Adults Only, and saluted several other music scene members who are no longer with us. (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 052823.)

Here is this week's playlist (with the year of the song and/or musician being commemorated in parentheses):
