To make a long story short, the transmission on the current Professor-mobile started slipping badly a week ago, and I'm in need of temporary transportation until I can procure a permanent replacement. I had a loaner car possibility lined up for Saturday, but it apparently fell through.
If anyone has or knows of a vehicle I can borrow for a few days, shoot me a PM. As of Monday morning the 6th I plan to go the rental car route, but would like to avoid putting anything else on my credit card if possible. Thanks. _________________

A loaner car has been procured. Thanks to Chris, Kiwi and Sherry for the hookup!
If anyone knows or learns of a decent used compact wagon/hatchback-type vehicle (like my Ford Escort wagon, a Subaru Outback, Impreza, etc.) with relatively low mileage (under 60,000 if possible), front-wheel or 4-wheel drive and a reasonably low price tag, let me know...thanks! _________________
