Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the April 30 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

This week, we welcomed guests from out of state, as New Jersey's Blue Number Nine (www.bluenumbernine.com) visited the program. We got acquainted with the band members, learned about their music and career to date, and heard several songs from their latest CD, Living It Up in the New World. The group also brought their instruments, and played two songs live on the air. And if you enjoyed what you heard from Blue Number Nine, mark Friday evening, July 28, on your calendars, as the group will be back in Altoona to play at the Blair County Arts Foundation's "Summer Sounds Of Jazz" concert series, at the Curtin Mall in downtown Altoona at 7 PM. And it's free!

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

THE MARAUDERS - "She Put A Curse On Me"
FELIX & THE HURRICANES - "Icy You"
BLUE NUMBER NINE - "Dig My Hands"
BLUE NUMBER NINE - "The Lucky Ones"
GRADE E - "Mined"
BLUE NUMBER NINE - "Castles" (performed live on the air)
BLUE NUMBER NINE - "Never Felt That Way"

HOUR TWO:

SHERRI MULLEN - "Now You'll Hurt"
BLUE NUMBER NINE - "Turnpikes & Parkways"
BLUE NUMBER NINE - "Love the Beat"
TED McCLOSKEY - "Jet Set Suffragette"
BLUE NUMBER NINE - "Coming Back Human" (performed live on the air)
BLUE NUMBER NINE - "Don't Let Them"

Next Sunday night, we welcome the return of Middletown-based singer, songwriter, guitarist and "Rock Diva," Sherri Mullen! Sherri recently released her second studio album, On The Edge; we'll get reacquainted with Sherri, hear songs from the album, and you'll have chances to call in and win copies! Also, it will be a "Harley Qualification Weekend," so you'll have opportunities to call and get qualified for Q94's 2006 Harley-Davidson Street Bob, being given away June 17! Sherri Mullen returns to the "Backyard Rocker," next Sunday night!

Forthcoming guests and specials include:

MAY 21 - White Witch
MAY 28 - Memorial Day Special
JUNE 4 - Too Many Empty
JUNE 11 - Solegion
JUNE 18 - Fathers & Sons/Daughters of Local Music Special (w/Greg & Dustin Burley)
JUNE 25 - Spitshine
JULY 2 - Millennium Music Conference Recap Special
JULY 16 - Dave Blackledge
AUG. 6 - Cover Song Special w/Hair Force One

The "Backyard Rocker" is happy to announce its continued partnership with "The Underground TV," the new local/regional music television show airing on WWCP-TV Fox 8 Saturday evenings at 6 PM, and now early Monday mornings at 1 AM on WATM ABC 23. Check out "The Underground" as it features different unsigned local and regional bands every week; and watch for "Backyard Rocker" updates on the show each week as well!
