Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the May 14 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

With no guests in the studio this week, we took the opportunity to get caught up on lots of new local and regional music releases that have arrived at Q94 over the past several weeks. We debuted fourteen new tunes on this week’s show, from the Brian McLoughlin Band, Dennisio, Mondy, Summeoyo, Ricky Lee, Midnight Rodeo, Sodajerk, Monophonics, Postal, Ted McCloskey, Subdue, Killjingle, House Of Cain and Emily’s Toybox. We also dug into the archives to 1985 for XL’s title song for a “Local Music Flashback” (the group has returned to action with a new roster featuring four of their former members), and we reviewed the latest album by Ted McCloskey, Who’s Gonna Listen Anyway, in “The Professor’s CD Corner.” (The review can be viewed on Q94’s website, www.wbxq.com, in the “Backyard Rocker” section of the message board area.)

Here is this week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

TONY MOLLICK PROJECT – “That’s All Right”
FAT VINNY & THE WISEGUYS – “Just Some Things”
BRIAN McLOUGHLIN BAND – “Wrapped Up In Blue”
FAYTED – “Mystery Man”
DENNISIO – “You Think You’re Better but You’re Not”
JERRY’S FAULT – “Tearjerker”
MONTY – “Richard Shouldn’t Play with Dead Things”
SUMMEOYO – “Full Bladder Blues”
RICKY LEE – “Barbecue Snake & Apple Pie”
MIDNIGHT RODEO – “Get Down”
SODAJERK – “You Must Be Stopped”
MONOPHONICS – “Sippin’ On Tequila”

HOUR TWO:

SHERRI MULLEN – “Modern Day Loving Family”
XL – “XL” (1985, Local Music Flashback)
POSTAL – “Pressure”
TED McCLOSKEY – “The Church with the Neon Lights”
SUBDUE – “Falling Away”
ZELAZOWA – “1,000 Smiles”
KILLJINGLE – “Killifornia”
HOUSE OF CAIN – “Blood Song”
EMILY’S TOYBOX – “Casualty”
4 DAYS DIRTY – “Stone Cold”
WHITE WITCH – “Rawhead Rex”

Next Sunday night, we welcome Williamsport-based hard rockers White Witch on the program. White Witch first formed in the 80’s, and had a good run on regional stages in the the late 80’s before going their separate ways. The group reformed recently, and put out their comeback CD, The Power, in 2004. We’ll hear tracks from the CD, and possibly some new material; and we’ll get acquainted with the band members and learn more about their music, live show, career and more. White Witch visits the “Backyard Rocker,” next Sunday night!

Forthcoming guests and specials include:

MAY 28 – Memorial Day Special
JUNE 4 – Too Many Empty
JUNE 11 – Solegion
JUNE 18 – Fathers & Sons/Daughters of Local Music Special (w/Greg & Dustin Burley)
JUNE 25 – Spitshine
