Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the July 6 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

Occasionally, things do not go as planned. Due to last minute problems, our scheduled guests, Electric Candy Shop, could not make the roadtrip in from the Scranton area to be on the show. However, thanks to both singer Tony Giamusso and bassist Todd Maisano for calling in and sharing their thoughts on their band, their music, live show and more. We also heard several tracks from Electric Candy Shop’s newly-released second album, “Symphony On Saturn.” We also debuted new songs from Josa Step, X-Terra, Spoonchatter, Sound Driven and Tempered Edge.

This week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

PETE PALLADINO – “4th of July”
ROADKILL – “Fifth on the 4th of July”
ELECTRIC CANDY SHOP – “Symphony on Saturn”
KIWI – “Reap What You Sow”
ELECTRIC CANDY SHOP – “Must Have Been”
JOSA STEP – “The Minimal”
E.S. WHITEFISCH – “Bruce Lee”
WAY DOWN EAST – “Magnum Is My Name”
X-TERRA – “Wolves”
SPINEBELT – “Losing All”

HOUR TWO:

FELIX & THE HURRICANES – “Backyard Rocker”
NEVERMOURE – “Carolina Sky” (live 5/5/02)
ELECTRIC CANDY SHOP – “Fallen”
POPTART MONKEYS – “Just Like Me”
ELECTRIC CANDY SHOP – “Stubborn”
SPOONCHATTER – “Dark No More”
ELECTRIC CANDY SHOP – “Sponge”
BURNING BLUE – “Wicked City”
SOUND DRIVEN – “Mephistopheles”
ELECTRIC BLUE – “Mexican Monsters & Meatfeet”
TEMPERED EDGE – “It’s Alright”

This Sunday night, July 13, we welcome young Altoona jam band rockers Sound Driven on the program. Sound Driven has just completed work on their debut CD, “View From The Attic.” We will hear tracks from the CD, get to know the band members a little better, and learn about their music, live show and more. Check out Sound Driven on the "Backyard Rocker," this Sunday night!
