Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the March 25 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

We always appreciate any guests who log some mileage to be on the program; so big thanks to our guest this week, Beaver Springs-based singer, songwriter and guitarist Hannah Bingman (www.hannahbingman.com) for making the two hour journey to be on the program. (Hannah will be off to Wisconsin for some shows shortly, so two hours to Altoona will look like a drive to the end of the block in comparison!) We learned about Hannah and her career to date, and played songs from both of her albums, Truckload of Philosophers and Right, Right Now. Two lucky listeners called in to win copies of both albums! Hannah also brought her acoustic guitar along and played some songs live on the air, including two songs not on either of her albums! We also debuted a new song from Bushmaster; and also reviewed the brand new Sherri Mullen CD, Fearless, in “The Professor’s CD Corner.” (The review can be viewed in the “Backyard Rocker” section of the Message Board area on Q94’s website, www.wbxq.com.)

Here is this week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

RUSTY GUN REVIVAL – “Step It Up’N Go”
BILL FERRELL – “Biker’s Prayer”
HANNAH BINGMAN – “The Greater Picture”
MATT WAGNER – “Hey Mister”
HANNAH BINGMAN – “Right, Right Now” (performed live on the air)
HANNAH BINGMAN – “Finished Finé Done”
DAVE BLACKLEDGE – “Drama Queen”
HANNAH BINGMAN – “Letter to Your Senator”
FELIX & THE HURRICANES – “The Love We Share”
BUSHMASTER – “Good Life”

HOUR TWO:

MICHAEL REICH – “Dare I Complain”
RHYNE McCORMICK – “Train”
HANNAH BINGMAN – “Please Leave”
SHERRI MULLEN – “Fate”
HANNAH BINGMAN – “Deep Water” (performed live on the air)
HANNAH BINGMAN – “Long Time Coming”
K8 – “Orion”
HANNAH BINGMAN – “Hard Hearted” (performed live on the air)
HANNAH BINGMAN – “All Over Now”

Next Sunday night, our guests in the studio will be Altoona’s Opposition. We’ll meet the band members, and get inside Opposition and their story to date. We’ll also hear recorded tunes from Opposition as well. Opposition visits the “Backyard Rocker,” next Sunday night!
