Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the May 27 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

This week was the annual “Backyard Rocker” Memorial Day Special, as we took a three-hour journey down local music memory lane! We dug out tunes from the local music archives, from bands and artists who used to grace area stages; dating clear back to the mid-60’s! (Thanks to Duaine Detrick and Andy Rhody for contributing recordings from Lickety Split, Kindred Spirit and Beaus of Beethoven to the “Backyard Rocker” archive!) The program’s third hour was dedicated in remembrance of some of the area musicians we have lost along the way, because although they are no longer with us, their music lives on! It was another fun celebration of local music past!

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

WANTED – “Good of the Bad” (1989)
RUDE DAWG – “Backstreet Ladies” (1996)
THE ROLLING ROCKERS – “Lover’s Dream” (1987)
