Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the August 26 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7. The show is brought to you by The Altoona Curve (www.altoonacurve.com), “Everybody’s Hometown Team!”

Thanks to our guest this week, Ron Carnevali of the Johnstown Area Heritage Association. Ron previewed the annual Johnstown Folkfest (www.johnstownfolkfest.org), which happens on Labor Day Weekend at Festival Park near downtown Johnstown. We got the lowdown on all things Folkfest, plus Ron brought CD's and shared with us tunes from some of the many bands and artists performing during Folkfest weekend. We also music from past Folkfest performers (Rusty Gun Revival and Billy Price), debuted a new song from Craig King, plus played a song from Live, who performed at Altoona's Blair County Ballpark last Tuesday with Collective Soul and Counting Crows.
Here is this week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

FELIX & THE HURRICANES – “Backyard Rocker Rocks”
TONY MOLLICK PROJECT – “That’s All Right”
TOO SLIM & THE TAILDRAGGERS – “The Fortune Teller”
JACKSON MONSOUR – “Leader”
THE TOSSERS – “No Loot, No Booze, No Fun”
RUSTY GUN REVIVAL – “That Girl Is Hot”
DWAYNE DOPSIE & THE ZYDECO HELLRAISERS – “Where’d My Baby Go?”
THE MARAUDERS – “Rumble on the Rocks”
CRAIG KING – “The Blues Come a Knock’in”
BILLY PRICE – “Soul Sailin’”

HOUR TWO:

LIVE – “Lakini’s Juice”
ERIC LINDELL – “Sunny Daze”

A.J. CROCE – “Maybe I’m Amazed”
RUSSELL LAUF – “Welcome Home to Johnstown”
BILL KIRCHEN – “Working Man”
SCOTT MILLER & THE COMMONWEALTH – “Amtrak Cresent”

Next Sunday, our guests in the studio will be area rockers Spirit Lost! We'll meet the band members and get their story to date, plus hear newly-recorded tunes from their forthcoming CD! We'll also update Local Music News, plus review Vs. the Earth's new CD, "The Initiative," in "The Professor's CD Corner!" Spirit Lost makes their first visit to the “Backyard Rocker,” next Sunday night!
