I love the sound of a Les Paul, and i love the way my fender plays, and i love everything about my ESP except for the slightly longer neck, it makes it just a little more difficult to make a quick transition into a lead thats high on the neck.

PRS are cool, well made, etc. I like Les Pauls and Firebirds....but Strats are it and I love a
good Tele.

The one caveat is that the Steve Vai model Ibanez are about the coolest looking guitars
there are. Also, the Ty Tabor Yamahas were up there as well.

I'm not a guitar player, but all of the Schecters I've had my hands on were quality instruments. Then again, it helps when an instrument arrives at the music store with a top-notch setup, something that Schecter prides itself on. It's great that there are so many flavors of guitars. You people have it good. Bass players don't get much in terms of variety, unless we want something like a BC Rich (I was never into instruments that look like medieval weapons) or some pretentious-looking boutique bass that looks like it belongs in an Ethan Allan store. Sad

I think I know what guitar on that list Joe and old sKool are going to vote for. Very Happy

I already voted for my #1! (loyal for life)

Comparatively priced I'd take a Jackson over anything else. Actually I'm trying to get Keith to repent and join Team Jackson.
How's that go? Once you go black you never go back?
Or is that once you go Jackson, you never go back?

Schecter must not pride themselves too much on their lefty setups, cause everyone I've played were like dog shit. The truss rod was too tight, and the action too high, etc....
Seemed like they took a middle of the road approach, instead of dialing it in better.
Actually, I've never took a guitar off the shelf that I wouldn't change something on, so it's other brands as well, including Jackson.

The Fedup guys will be sad about Dean not being up there. haha!

i love strats, i've had other guitars and nothing imho even comes close. they are nicely balanced and about the most comfortable guitar to play standing up or sitting down. i can pick up just about any strat and feel comfortable. they are just perfect, for me.

can i get an amen!

I voted for Schecter, but im seriously considering getting a Jackson again.
I used to have a Jackson King V loaded with Emg 81's, and i really liked it. I also really dig BC Rich. When I got the Schecter though, I really thought I found my brand. We'll see who wins with me ...Jackson Vs Schecter.

I'm a drummer, but had to go with Paul Reed Smith. Far and away the most impressive guitars I've ever played.

I had to go with Gibson even though im a big fan of Fender as well. I have yet to play a guitar that gives me that fat overdriven tone that i get with a gibby through a valve amplifier.

Wow, im really amazed. I cant believe that nobody voted for ibanez yet. I figured that would be one of the top pick. I see them everywhere on local stages.

Thanks Rich, but I didn't build any of them,I assembled them.
You're the only one around here that has one, cause I always make left handed guitars.
Once I have a better setup, I'll make right handed guitars.
The way I'm doing it now, isn't exactly the kind of product that I want out there.

There's alot of great painters out there, I don't hold a candle to most of them, and I'll readily admit that.
Paul from BHG does some astounding work, I am always impressed with his painting. There might be a few more on here, but I can't think of right now.

Ibanez, that's funny man! Me and Ibanez battling it out.

I'm surprised the count is so low actually. I know there's more out there, just goes to show ya how many people look at this.

Im gonna take a guess and say that Ibanez guitars are popular because you can get one that plays well for a fairly low price. There a great back-up guitar, but still no comparison to a fender in my book. So im sure there are a lot of people who feel that way.

yeah i know what you mean.. my friend has an ibanez and he does whatever is the tread so he bought it because he saw a lot of bands he liked playing them, but when he got it he never plays it cuz he said it doesnt feel as good as his gibson

plus the stock pickups on ibanez suck in my opinion, they sound like pure mush.. no def at all..

I played Fenders for years and lately it's been a Gibson that's really rocking my world. I've owned Ibanez's, ESP's, a Dean V, PRS's, Schecter's, and probably a few more that I can't recall and the big two are the ones that I keep coming back to.

Jackson all the way! Just love the fit, finish and feel of the USA Soloists. Also really dig the older Charvels. I just picked up a 750 this year, very impressive (big thanks to Paul at Big Head Guitars for killer paint work!!!!). For imports I've been pretty impressed with Schecter. I have two of 'em and they seem to hold up really well. I dumped the stock pickups for Duncans and wow- big improvement.

Schecter does make a very good guitar. I'm very happy with the one I have.

I do have to say, the Schecter 006 Series (Especially the Elite) is one of the coolest
looking guitars I think I've ever seen. One of those with 3 single coils and a strat
trem would be pretty cool.

I had a Schecter for quite some time. It was one of the older ones from before they started importing. It played great, sounded good, but ultimately wasn't what I needed.
