Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the November 16 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

Thanks to our guests, Cambria County-based Soundrive, for visiting the program and enlightening us about their music and career to date. We heard several songs from Soundrive's debut CD, “Resided Emotions,” and four lucky listeners won copies of the CD. In addition, Soundrive performed several brand new songs live and in the studio. The group explained their evolution from folk-based rock to a more psychedelic vein of music, and hearing that evolution through the live songs made for an interesting two hours. In addition, we debuted a new song from the Poptart Monkeys.

This week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

GREEN EGGS - “My Band”
STEPT ON - “Day After Day”
SOUNDRIVE - “My Phobia” (live in studio)
SOUNDRIVE - “Slowly Slip Aside”
THE BADLEES - “Hindsightseeing”
SOUNDRIVE - “Pretty Faces” (live in studio)
SOUNDRIVE - “Summer Snow” (live in studio)
SOUNDRIVE - “The Way It Ought to Be”
NEVERMOURE (VS. THE EARTH) - “She Rocks Me”
POPTART MONKEYS - “7:30”

HOUR TWO:

BICYCLE THIEVES - “Loser Of The Year”
EMILY'S TOYBOX - “I'm The Bomb”
SOUNDRIVE - “The Living Room” (live in studio)
SOUNDRIVE - “Blue Summer Night”
SOUND DRIVEN - “Antelopium”
SOUNDRIVE - “Hello Sun” (live in studio)
NUM - “Shut Out”
3 BROKEN DOLLS - “Whatever Happened To The American Dream”
SOUNDRIVE - “Three Guys, A Communist and a Singer”

This coming Sunday, Nov. 23, our guests in the studio will be Harrisburg-based heavy hitters, Num. We will meet the band members, and hear tracks from their debut CD, “Neglect.” Listeners will have chances to win a copy as well. Num rocks the “Backyard Rocker,” this Sunday night!
