Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the July 15 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.

This week, we welcomed guests into the studio: Psycho Prophecy frontman Ronnie Henry, and his songwriting collaborator Caleb Reichenbach! Ronnie updated us on the latest Psycho Prophecy happenings, as well as his new songwriting endeavors with Caleb. And the two performed several original and cover songs live in the studio! Along the way, we debuted new songs from Tonewall Jackson and Late Last Nite, updated "Local Music News," dug a 1998 song by York's Soveren from the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," and reviewed Shattered's Blackout Sessions CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

INSIDE OUT - "Unbreakable"
PHOBOS ANOMALY - "Sisyphus"
PSYCHO PROPHECY - "Government Cheese"
DRAGLINE - "Rock n Roll Machine"
RONNIE & CALEB - "Wish You Were Here" (original) (performed live on the air)
TONEWALL JACKSON - "For All You Know"
RONNIE & CALEB - "Free Fallin'" (cover) (performed live on the air)
DYLAN E. MILLER - "Three Crows"
LATE LAST NITE - "Slip Away"

HOUR TWO:

RAUSCH - "Greener Grass"
PROGMIUM - "Take Up the Fight"
PSYCHO PROPHECY - "Shoot the Devil"
SHATTERED - "Paralyzed"
RONNIE & CALEB - "Inside Out" (original) (performed live on the air)
SOVEREN - "Bridge" (1998, Local Music Flashback)
RONNIE & CALEB - "Nutshell" (cover) (performed live on the air)
SKELL - "Head"

On our next program, we catch up with our guest, Huntingdon-based singer and songwriter Dylan E. Miller! We'll learn Dylan's story and get inside his music, plus hear songs from Dylan's debut EP, Carrion, and Dylan may even break out the guitar and play a song for us live! Along the way, we will update "Local Music News," dig a "Local Music Flashback" from the archive, and review Chris Rattie & the New Rebels' Porch CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Upcoming guests and specials include:

JULY 29 - Native Alloys
AUG. 5 - Tukurpa
AUG. 19 - We Came From Space
SEPT. 9 - Whiskey Pie

(All dates are subject to changes as circumstances warrant.)

In Local Music News...

Chris Rattie & the New Rebels are in search of a new drummer, as Forrest Schwartz is leaving the group after four years to pursue a new career opportunity in Arizona. Forrest played his final two shows with the New Rebels during the Central PA Festival of the Arts in downtown State College and at The Bar in Boalsburg. Chris Rattie & the New Rebels will take a break from action over the next few months to work on new song material and find their new drummer.

A special show will take place next month at the State Theatre in State College. "Women's Voices" will spotlight women's voices in music and life, and feature performances from a number of female-led groups and artists, while raising money for the Centre County Women's Resource Center. Performers at the event will include Anchor & Arrow, Hops & Vines, Erin & Wiggus, Leah Mueller, Miss Melanie & the Valley Rats, Natascha & the Spy Boys and Jackie Brown & the Gill Street Band.
