Hello Everyone,
Here is the recap of the December 30 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.
This week, we closed out 2018 with our annual "Year In Review" Special! Beginning with January, we tracked through 2018 from the perspective of the local and regional music scene, recapping the major shows and happenings, band formations and breakups, personnel moves, CD releases and other events that impacted the past year. And we heard music from the bands and performers who helped define 2018 on the area music scene!

For our first program of 2019, we will get caught up with the mailboxes and see what new local and regional recordings have arrived during the holiday season - meaning we will debut lots of new music and guarantee maximum local and regional music over two hours! Along the way, we will update "Local Music News," dig into the archive for a "Local Music Flashback" and step "Across State Lines" to hear music from an independent band or artist from outside the state!
Upcoming guests and specials include:
JAN. 27 - FYRE
(All dates are subject to changes as circumstances warrant.)
Bands and artists wanting to submit news items for "Local Music News" may email their news to homegrownrocker@gmail.com. Indicate "MUSIC NEWS" in the subject heading!
Bands and artists interested in having music aired on the show are invited to send their broadcast-quality recordings to: Magnum Broadcasting, 315 South Atherton Street, State College, PA 16801; ATTN: Jim Price/Homegrown.
