Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the November 10 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.

We went back to the mailboxes again this week to investigate new recordings that have arrived lately. As a result, we debuted some new music on the show, including new songs from Little Buddy, Black Ridge, Rik Golden and Bigfoot's Ugly Mansion. Along the way, we updated "Local Music News," dug a 1989 number from Tom Brunner and Killer Elite from the archive for a "Local Music Flashback, stepped "Across State Lines" to hear a number from Austin, Texas-based independent blues-rock axe-slinger Eric Tessmer, and reviewed Private I's Better Late Than Ever CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

MATT OTIS - "The Most Important Thing"
THE CHROME HEARTS (STEPHANIE & THE WILD HEARTS) - "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is"
LITTLE BUDDY - "Lifelong Dream"
CONNER GILBERT - "Here's to the Days"
CHRIS VIPOND & THE STANLEY STREET BAND - "Lonely Cells"
THE COMMONHEART - "Aloysius"
BLACK RIDGE - "Celebration"
AUGUST WAKE - "Mistakes I've Made"
THE DARK COUNTRY - "Elbow Room"
THE UNBANNED - "Kiss Me First"
CHRIS BELL - "Baptized By the Blues"

HOUR TWO:

THE PATCHED TOGETHER ALL-STARS - "Patched Together"
JIM DONOVAN & THE SUN KING WARRIORS - "Love Is Right"
RIK GOLDEN - "Brother"
PRIVATE I - "Only A Man"
BIGFOOT'S UGLY MANSION - "Avalanche"
KILLER ELITE - "Kill or Be Killed" (1989, Local Music Flashback)
ERIC TESSMER - "Simple Solution" (Across State Lines)
BRADY NOVOTNY - "Heart's Fire"
OCEANS TO ASH - "Victim to the Algorithm"
HATE GRENADE - "Critical"
DEFIANT - "Feet First"
DARKNESS ON THE RADIO - "Judas Take the Wheel"

We'll be joined by band guests on our next program, as we welcome local acoustic rockers Gray Beard into our studio! We will meet the band members and learn their story, and the group will bring instruments and play some of their music live on the air for us! We'll also update "Local Music News" and dig a "Local Music Flashback" from the archive! Listen to the "Homegrown Rocker," Sunday night (November 17) at 8 p.m. on 105.9 Qwik-Rock on your FM radio dial, or stream it live online at www.1059qwikrock.com!
