Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the March 21 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

With St. Patrick's Day happening earlier in the week, we let the area and state music scene get its Irish up for the annual edition of our "St. Paddy's Special!" We spotlighted bands and artists with a touch of Irish in their music, spanning traditional Irish folk and pub favorites, Irish-flavored rock and punk rock, novelty tunes and more! We debuted a few local and regional Irish-flavored bands we haven't played before, such as The Irish Pretenders, The Wild Geese, Poor Man's Gambit and The Low Kings; and we also debuted a brand new Irish-geared tune from the duo of Jack Servello and Jay Zimmerman! And we dug into the archive for a 2001 Irish-geared favorite from the Michael O'Brian Band, and a 2008 tune from former State College Irish punk-rocking favorites The Clover! (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 032121.)
