Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the May 2 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

We may have had to fumigate the studio afterward from the stench (just kidding), but we welcomed the return of our guests, central PA 'rot and roll' pioneers Roadkill! We got caught up on the group' latest happenings, including the upcoming release of their anthology compilation CD, Worst Misses, as well as their "PunishFest" rock and wrestling event on May 23! Roadkill had an additional surprise for us, as both drummer Clayton Miller and guitarist Tommy Raab - both accomplished singers and songwriters - brought acoustic guitars and each did a song live on the air! We also updated "Local Music News," pulled a 2004 tune by Cambria County's Right Side Thief from the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," and reviewed The Filthy Lowdown's El Accidente CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!" (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 050221.)

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

ABOVE THE RADAR - "Ride"
BAD LUCK LOVER BOYS - "Somewhere Girl"
ROADKILL - "Them Blues"
MURDER FOR GIRLS - "Run"
ROADKILL - "Wreck My Right Hand"
AUGUST WINTERS - "The Lion The Reaper"
CLAYTON MILLER - "Rabbit in the Well" (performed live on air)
THE SNIPPED - "The Mine"

HOUR TWO:

RIK GOLDEN - "Where Did You Go"
THE WHATLEYS - "Bionic Eyes"
ROADKILL - "I Wanna Be an Ex-Boyfriend of Alanis Morisette"
THE FILTHY LOWDOWN - "Somebody Hit Somebody"
TOMMY RAAB - "Ashamed" (performed live on air)
RIGHT SIDE THIEF - "Not A Good Thing" (2004, Local Music Flashback)
ROADKILL - "Roadkill"

New local and regional music will again be in the spotlight on our next program, as we check out new recordings that have arrived in recent days! Hear new tunes from such names as The Worry Knot, Antonio Andrade, Katelyn Rose, Jerkin the Flat 9, Royal Honey, Seethe and more! We'll also update "Local Music News," dig into the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," and review Images Of Eden's Angel Born album in "The Professor's CD Corner!" Hear the "Homegrown Rocker" this Sunday night (May 9) on Q94 Classic Rock - 94.3 FM and online at www.q94classicrock.com!
