Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the March 27 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

Having received a multitude of new local and regional recordings in recent weeks, it was time to visit the mailboxes again and unveil many of these new recordings on the program! We debuted new songs from Gabe Stillman, the Jeremy Edge Project, Artese N Toad, The Austens, Matt Fields, Steve Treado, Pierce Dipner, Memory Collector, Bad Luck Lover Boys, Gonto, Sommelier, Above The Treachery, Tom Nevers Field and The Snipped - 14 new songs in all, over half of this week's program was new music! In addition, we updated "Local Music News," dug a 1986 number by Pittsburgh's Genghis Khan from the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," stepped "Across State Lines" to hear a tune from Long Island, New York's Extinction A.D., and reviewed Paradigm's Monolith album in "The Professor's CD Corner!" (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 032722.)

In Local Music News...

Images Of Eden announced this past week that they have hooked up with guitar legend Michael Schenker for his 50th anniversary tour, as he supports his new album Universal. Former Mr. Big singer Eric Martin is also on the tour. That tour will hit Pennsylvania in the fall, with shows at Jergel’s in Warrendale on October 17, the Keswick Theater in Glenside (Philadelphia) on October 25 and the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg on October 27. Images Of Eden has also announced the return of lead guitarist Carlos Urquidi to the lineup. Carlos played on the group’s 2018 Soulrise album, but circumstances forced him to leave the group later. For upcoming ticket information about the tour dates, visit Images Of Eden’s website, www.imagesofeden.com.

Pittsburgh singer and songwriter Bill Deasy releases his new album next month. The album, called If the Creek Don’t Rise, will feature ten new songs that were recorded in Brooklyn in November of last year. Details on the album’s release and upcoming concert celebration will be announced soon.
