Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the November 27 edition of "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

For Thanksgiving weekend, we delved into the local music archive for this week's program and presented the "Local Music Memory Lane Special!" We presented two hours of music from past area bands and artists, with all the musical selections from before the year 2000! We dug out past favorites from notable area music scene names like XL, Cut The Mustard, Badwrench, Sidewalk Romeo, Fantasy Airlift, Hybrid Ice, Bashful, Nitro, Tommi-Gunn (with a cameo lead-in by the group's original singer, Richie Knott), The Front, Free Form and more! We also dug out a couple of chestnuts that hadn't aired on local radio for several decades - including a 1986 original song from Altoona's Guardian, and a 1986 Loverboy cover from area dance rockers Paragon! Needless to say, we featured multiple "Local Music Flashback" features throughout the program, and we also updated "Local Music News." (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94's website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on "The Professor's Classroom," and then scroll down to "Homegrown Rocker Podcast" and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 112722.)

Here is this week's playlist (with the year of the song in parentheses):

For our next program, we catch up via phone with our frequent-flyer guest, Images Of Eden frontman Gordon Tittsworth! Images Of Eden has just finished up a nationwide tour, opening for German guitar god Michael Schenker's 50th Anniversary Tour! Gordon will share memories and thoughts about the tour, and we will hear songs from Images Of Eden's newly-released EP, Weathered and Torn! We will also update "Local Music News," dig a "Local Music Flashback" from the archive, and review Burn The Martyr's Blasphemy album in "The Professor's CD Corner!" The Central PA Music Hall Of Fame has announced that Bret Michaels will return to Pennsylvania before the end of the month to be officially inducted into the Hall Of Fame. The induction ceremony will be a private event, and attended by invitation only.

Harrisburg stoner-rock trio Almost Honest has made some personnel moves. As bass player Seth Jackson is parting ways with the group, Garrett Spangler is coming on board to replace him. And the group also announced that one of their founding members, David Kopp, is returning to the group to take over lead guitar duties.

And State College-based alt-country punk rock group Ma’aM have just released their first 45 rpm single. The record features “Naughty” on the A-side and “American Ruse” on the B-side. The single was released on Friday Nov. 25) through Nudie Records; you can obtain the 45 rpm record version through www.nudierecords.com, or download “Naughty” through Ma’aM’s Bandcamp page.
