Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the February 9 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

It was a busy two hours this week! First, we welcomed into our studio Chris, James and Rob from the Poptart Monkeys, who talked about their forthcoming third CD, life on the road, their fans, their music and much more. We heard tracks from the forthcoming new CD as well as from the group's last album, "Just Like Me."

In addition, the Poptart Monkeys are one of over 300 bands and artists who will converge on Harrisburg this coming weekend to showcase at the 7th annual Millenium Music Conference. We heard music from several of those showcasing bands and artists (plus one who showcased at last year's event, Ninetail), and chatted with conference co-organizer Vikki Walls about this year's event. If you're serious about music as your career, Harrisburg is definitely the place to be this coming weekend!

The playlist:

HOUR ONE:

KATSU – “Leave Me”
AXUM – “Save The Day”
POPTART MONKEYS – “Just Like Me”
NEGATIVE SPACE – “Ready”
POPTART MONKEYS – “Stung”
SUMMEOYO – “Big Busted Women, Flat Busted Broke”
POPTART MONKEYS – “Adore Me”
SHONUFF – “Headcheck”

HOUR TWO:

V.I.H. – “At The Wheel”
POPTART MONKEYS - “She Likes Girlz”
SLAPJAW – “Shoulder of Sorrow”
STEPHEN RESO – “Not That Stupid”
PILOT RADIO – “Maybe We Won’t Die”
HYPER CHYLD – “Innocent The Sky”
NINETAIL – “Hollowman”
POPTART MONKEYS – “Nashville Hooker”

This coming Sunday night, February 16, we will recap the 7th annual Millenium Music Conference on the program. We will again hear from a number of showcasing bands and artists at the event; plus include soundbytes from the conference itself, including excerpts from the panel discussions, keynote address, and comments from a number of people in attendance. Get the scoop on this year's Millenium, this coming Sunday night on the "Backyard Rocker!"
