Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the November 28 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

Once in a while it happens; a scheduled guest is not able to be with us. Late in the week, we were notified that White Witch could not join us on this week’s program. But the show must go on, and it did. In lieu of White Witch actually being in studio, we featured some tracks from the Williamsport group’s comeback CD, “The Power,” and gave away copies of the disc to some lucky listeners. We also reviewed the self-titled debut CD from DuBois’ Sever on “The Professor’s CD Corner” and featured a song from it. We flashed back to 1995 to hear a track from former area rockers Riot Act; and we debuted new songs from Grey Society, The Jellybricks, Thirty 3 Cell, Flord and Coldflesh.

Here is this week’s playlist:

HOUR ONE:

ROADKILL – “Santa Is a Big Fat Jerk”
WHITE WITCH – “The Power”
AXUM – “Abuse the Unhealthy”
GREEN EGGS – “My Band”
NORMAN NARDINI – “Can’t Kill Love with a Gun”
WHITE WITCH – “Marrianne”
RIOT ACT – “In My Soul” (Local Music Flashback, 1995)
GREY SOCIETY – “Wild Child”
JOSA STEP – “Lacerta”
THE JELLYBRICKS – “Father Christmas”
FLIGHT 19 – “Hands”

HOUR TWO:

PROJECT TWELVE(34) – “Restless and Rusted”
THE FLAME SKY – “Only In Your Head”
WHITE WITCH – “Rawhead Rex”
SEVER – “Judgement”
THIRTY 3 CELL – “Haunting Me”
FLORD – “The Next Level”
WHITE WITCH – “The Crutch”
STRONGHOLD – “Ad Astra”
COLDFLESH – “Candyland”
CONDITION K – “On a Sunday”

This Sunday night, we’ll be joined in the studio by the Greencastle-based rock band Josa Step. We’ll get acquainted with the band members and learn about their music and career to date. We will hear tracks from the group’s two CD’s, and listeners will have chances to call in and win some Josa Step music. We’ll also check on local music news and review the “Central Pennsylvania Christmas Compilation” CD on “The Professor’s CD Corner.” Josa Step visits us, this Sunday night on the “Backyard Rocker!”

Other forthcoming guests and specials include:

DEC. 12 – Fat Vinny & the Wiseguys
